DaFont is the number one source for fresh and beautiful script fonts. They update the site frequently and font creators are able upload their own fonts to the platform. DaFonts’s forum is also super popular due to it’s “What font is this?” -feature where people can post images of typography and others can point what font has been used in the design.
2. 1001 Free Fonts
1001 Free Fonts is the old workhorse in the free fonts -industry. Their website looks a bit outdated, but don’t let it fool you! Their service provide super cool fonts that are updated frequently. Their collections cover tons of categories from modern brush fonts to old retro fonts.
3. Font Space
Font Space also falls into the category of “old goodies” with it’s simplistic look. It still covers the big part of free font download scene with it’s highly engaged community and newly added fonts. Their catalog has 1000s of free fonts from sans serif to handwriting fonts.

Font Squirrel used to be my number one free font source due to their top quality handpicking. They only feature the best of the best free fonts. They still update the catalog frequently and you can find some real gems like Butler, but these days I prefer a wider catalog like on DaFont or Pixelify.
9. Free Design Resources
Free Design Resources has one of the most beautiful websites in the scene and on top of free fonts they also provide free mockups, templates and graphics. They’ve been in business just a few years, but they already got a pretty reputable collection of free fonts.
10. The Hungry JPEG
Like Font Bundles, TheHungryJPEG is also a marketplace first website, but they also provide free fonts and graphics. Some of their free fonts have a time stamp on them and some can be download “forever”.
11. Freebies Bug
Freebies Bug is an UI centered freebies source, but they also provide some super-clean free sans and sans serif fonts. Their website is absolutely stunning!
12. Behance
I don’t think we even have to describe Behance as it’s the number on community for creative designers. It’s owned by Adobe and has been connecting designers for many years. Users can post links to their free fonts in Behance and that makes it one of the best source to seek fresh new font freebies! Traditionally, it includes some of the best sans serif fonts in the world!
13. Creative Fabrica
Creative Fabrica is a really new website and they’re a marketplace-first platform. They also do offer permanent and limited time free fonts that are in top-notch quality as they’re from the marketplace.
14. PixelBuddha
PixelBuddha is definitely one of the cleanest design websites out there. They provide a ton of good articles to read and digital assets to download. Go explore their free fonts and be amazed by the quality of them. PixelBuddha also has some fonts that you cannot find anywhere else.

Pixel Surplus is a pretty new website that offer bundles and freebies. They’ve grown rapidly due to a fact that they provide a lot free fonts and graphics that you cannot find anywhere else. They also have some modern vintage type of fonts that are really hard to find.
